Welcome to Black Wolf Books - home of the first book "Black Wolf: Lakota Man."

While I'm waiting for the publishing date, I thought I'd tell you a little bit about what makes this series of 5 books unique. Because the stories are about a Texas rock band, each book has three or four song lyrics that the band plays. If you have a vivid imagination, or are musically inclined, you will be able to 'hear' the songs, or even make the music up yourself, as you read.

I wrote and performed songs with a band many years ago and enjoy writing lyrics. It has been fun getting to do that again for these stories.

Welcome to Black Wolf Books - my first venture in self-publishing. The first book "Black Wolf: Lakota Man" will hopefully be ready for sale sometime this fall. Stay tuned for more details later.

In the meantime, I'd like to tell you what inspired the series about 4 Lakota brothers forming their own Texas rock band. Ever heard of Los Lonely Boys? They are three Garza brothers, Henry, Jojo and Ringo, from San Angelo, Texas who have created "Texican" rock. And are they ever good!!! I fell in love with their music last year and have followed the brothers' progress ever since. While my books aren't about the Garza brothers, they have been inspired by the boys. Listen to their self-titled CD, catch one of their shows, and you'll understand the Black Wolf story. Los Lonely Boys (LLB) is currently on the west coast for a few shows. If you're in California, get to one. You won't be sorry! Check their website for tour dates. www.loslonelyboys.org
Welcome to Black Wolf Books - a series of five books covering the lives and loves of four Lakota Sioux brothers who have their own Texas rock band coming out of Austin. Only the first book, "Black Wolf: Lakota Man" is being printed right now.

I am currently going through the 4th draft of the book cover with my illustrator. Hopefully, this will be the last draft and we can go to final by next week. Having never done this before, my learning curve is straight up! But, self-publishing is quite an adventure all on its own. Stay tuned for the on-going saga of "As the Story Goes."

Welcome to Black Wolf Books. I am currently figuring out how to get a pre-order page set up on my website so that anyone who wants an autographed copy of "Black Wolf: Lakota Man" can get one. My publisher says there is a place with them for such information. I have asked for that url, and as soon as I have it, I will post it both here and on the website.

Welcome to Black Wolf Books. . . my first venture into writing novels. Black Wolf is a family of four Lakota brothers who have their own Texas flavored rock band coming out of Austin. A series of five books covers the brothers' adventures with love and life as a popular band.

Since I am self-publishing, I can only afford to get the first one printed: Black Wolf: Lakota Man. Hopefully, the work of the editors, illustrator, web designer and printers will all fall into place and I will have it available for sale by this fall.

So far it has been quite an adventure, taking me from the laptop to learning what an em dash is to my latest and greatest - the world of blogs.

The Black Wolf website is ready for company. Please stop in, take a look around, read the reviews and the book excerpt. Don't forget to sign my guestbook!
